The Silk Landart Program: Workshop and Residency

The first “From Birth to Work” silk event was held in the picturesque Gilan region, showcasing the entire silk production process in a traditional setting. This collaborative effort between Metzzo Studio, Lojnek Ecotourism Complex, Toshkeh Gallery, and Gilan Silk Industry Company highlighted the journey of silk, from silkworm breeding to the creation of exquisite fabrics.
Alongside the traditional silk production stages, the event featured an artistic component, where artists drew inspiration from the life cycle of silk. They created works using natural materials like mulberry tree branches, leaves, silk threads, and fabric, displayed in both indoor and outdoor exhibitions.
